The kingfisher is a typical fish eater and therefore bound to water. Its contrasting blue and orange colours make it a striking appearance. It is a very shy bird species that rarely shows itself! But this one, made of corten steel, is not shy and stays neatly in place!!

Due to the preference for steep walls to breed in, they often occur near flowing water, because there naturally steep banks are formed by erosion.
