The tumbling vase is designed to show off small flowers, such as snowdrops and crocuses. The tumbling movement is derived from the wind that makes the flowers move. Luxje is blown, in limited edition, in the glassworks of the National Glass Museum in Leerdam.

A beautiful collaboration

At the end of 2020, Floris was commissioned in collaboration with his education and the Glasmuseum Leerdam to design a vase for an exhibition, which resulted in Luxje, a small vase. The museum was very enthusiastic about the design, which is why it was decided to produce the vase in a small edition.

The name Luxje comes from Lux, a unit used to measure light. In order to let the small flowers such as buttercups, daisies, blue grapes, snowdrops, violets... come into their own, the vase can tumble. This movement is derived from the wind that makes the flowers move when they are outside in nature.

The glass Luxje is available in clear and matt glass, in different colours and sizes. The vases are hand blown in Leerdam and therefore unique!
