Did you know that the metalbird wren:
The story goes that the wren, who was not yet called the wren, cleverly won a competition for the kingship of the birds. The birds decided to organize a competition and the bird that could fly the highest would become king. The wren figured that he had no chance unless he came up with a trick. He hid in the eagle's feathers and when the eagle could fly no higher, the wren began his flight. Since then, the wren proudly holds his tail up high.
Corten steel is...
Steel that gets a beautiful rusty brown layer. The corrosion starts immediately when the wren comes into contact with the outside air. The layer also protects against further rusting, which means the wren will last a lifetime.
- Easy to assemble with a few taps of the hammer (drill a hole in hard wood first)
- Made of 3 mm thick, 'weather-resistant' Corten steel® for a beautiful patina that changes with the seasons.
- 19 cm high and 31 cm wide (including the branch/tip)
